I am composing music for the whole Gospel of Mark...

Mark's words, closely paraphrased verse-by-verse, narrated alongside newly-composed music for piano.

More than a backing track, the music is illuminating the text, so the remarkable story of Jesus' life can be heard in a whole new way. The completed project will be performed live and shared as a recording.

... and I'm over halfway through!

If you're in Adelaide, you can come and hear the latest instalment of this project on Palm Sunday weekend 2026 (28 & 29 March). It's called The Journey to Jerusalem, and covers the section from the Transfiguration to Palm Sunday.

In the meantime, the first half of Mark's Gospel is now a completed work: Mark Illuminated: Part 1. I presented three free performances of this in Adelaide on the weekend of 22-24 August 2025 – and I would love to give more!
